In the Chromatic Fields paintings, color and form are used to build an abstract vocabulary, which evokes a sense of place while triggering memories as well. These affects suggest a kind of ‘emotional architecture’, both spatial and sensorial, that relies on the interplay of pat- terns and rhythms to draw out differing perceptions of light, volume, movement, and even elicit synesthetic responses to each through their combinations.
